Starting in Pescia we walk up through the olive groves to the hill town of Collodi, home of Pinocchio. We visit the extraordinary Villa Garzoni garden. A picnic lunch made of local pecorino cheese, salami, prosciutto, fresh pane and wine overlooking the garden is provided. After lunch we walk back to Pescia via Oscar Tintori, Citrus Grower, to view his wonderful array of Espaliered Citrus and the Franchi Bonsai nursery of returning to Pescia in time for aperitivo.
Tour departs 9am to five pm approx. Pick up Pescia station or Piazza Mazzini. Walking level, leisurely.
